Canned food to donate but where?

Have been going through the canned goods and have a lot that is about to expire, or slighly past the best by date. Anywhere in Fairfax that I can donate this?

Postal Service is sponsoring a food drive next Saturday May 11. Just leave the food in a bag by your mailbox and your letter carrier will pick it up.

Sometimes hard to match up with a food drive, and the drop-off points for CAFB aren't realy very convenient, but "Food for Others" is easy to donate to and supports distribution all over the County. They are on Prosperity Avenue between 29 and 50 west of Merrifield. Check them out at foodforothers.org.

Many Catholic churches take can food donation for the needy.

There are several churches in the area that have ongoing food drives. Just do a google search of Church food drives and put your town and state in the search.
