Cops pulling people over on Columbia Pike

So every single morning as I drive on Columbia Pike into work in Crystal City I see the cops pulling over multiple cars underneath the Washington blvd. overpass.

What are all these people getting buster for?

No operators license, fictitious drivers license, stolen cars,
phony registration, stolen plates, DUI, phony inspection stickers,
possession of stolen property, drugs, you name it. Everything except
being in this country illegally.

If you look at that intersection the left lane must go straight through during AM rush hour and lots of people usually try to make the right for 395. Also, there is a backup of traffic there and they pull ppl over for expired registration, no county tax decal, dead tags etc etc etc.

True. This has been a popular site for harvesting $$ for decades in Arlington. Check the arrows carefully in the morning. They literally pull over one car every other light cycle.

Learn where the Police hq is. and learn how to read a map and not drive in those areas.

I can't understand how in the hell so many people during rush hour (who travel the same routes, to the same detinations) are CONSTANTLY driving as if they're lost or new at life. These people act as if they had no clue they "suddenly" had to turn or merge as if it was some surprise.

Newsflash - nothing has magically changed since yesterday or the weeks/months before, so learn to F'n drive.

I've had that same thought so many times when driving in rush hour traffic. They drive the same route twice a day, 250 times a year and each time is like a brand new experience to them.

many drivers have the ME mentality. I'm more important than you, so I don't have to: merge properly, use my signal, stop at red lights, ect...

I don't speed, but I don't camp out in the left lane either, but on 66 I see cars pulling out in the merge lane just to drive ahead 3-4 cars, or driving down the shoulder to pass. weaving in and out of traffic... and we wonder why we see so many accident...Let the cops fill the county coffers with people who knowingly break law. call it the stupid tax...

WRONG. The RIGHT lane MUST turn RIGHT at certain times during the AM rush. The LEFT lane may either go straight OR turn right to 395. The cops are writing tickets to the drivers in the RIGHT lane who continue to travel straight instead of turning right.

Think about it, if the right lane is supposed to exit and instead goes straight, and the left side driver turns right... BLAMO! Look at the signs next time you drive by. If I'm wrong, take a pic and prove it.
