Id like to try Unitarianism but the idea of it being a hook up joint for gays is not really in my plans for the kids...

I went to one a few times. Seems to be a bunch of married people who are in interfaith relationships. So they go Unitarian where they can believe anything.

UU congregations have their own personalities. If you are a card carrying collectivist you would be most happy there. Spiritually they are diverse. The real orthodoxy is progressiveism. Fifty UUs in a room have 75 different theologies. That's a plus. But 50 Obummer Bidet bumper stickers in the parking lot. Meadville Lombard Seminary supplies many UU reverends nationwide. Take a look at the curriculum. IMO, it's a thinly disguised social justice activist mill. ymmv
