Now that you've got that out of your system, I really am interested in high water reports. If you're near a creek, is the water higher than during the tropical storm?

Didn't use any backroads so I don't know about overflowing creeks. There are lots of places with standing water on the roads. Not too bad, yet.
If you're heading north on 123 through Vienna, get over to the left between Westwood CC and the church. The entire right lane is flooded out for about 50 or 60 feet. Probably a backed up sewer. I saw it and changed lanes to avoid it. Watched the people behind me drive right into it, even though I flicked on my hazards to try to warn them.

Tons are blocked either from flooding, downed power lines, downed trees, broken gas lines - listen to the FC fire scanner. They are just putting up cones and moving on. Gas lines they're getting shut off and moving on. Sounds like they have their hands full.

All those teabag nutjobs who got carried away hating on public unions never stopped to think that those lazy government employees end up running around in the middle of hurricanes putting up orange cones and setting out flares to keep teabag morons from driving head on into a downed tree or live power line.
