I went and picked up my 89 year old great grandmother and told her I was taking her out to eat to anywhere of her choice. She didn't hesitate to tell me to take her to Chick-Fil-A! I rolled her out to my truck, helped her in, and loaded her wheelchair in the back. The whole way there, she was talking about how she wished I would work there as a small part time job during my 11th grade year because they're such godly people and set great examples for people. When we got there, for some reason there was an employee standing outside near the parking lot. I don't know if he was on his break or what. I parked, got out, and went to the back to get her wheelchair out so I could take her in. As soon as I started pulling it out, the young boy (looked to be about 19) quickly came over there and said, "Please, let me help you with that, ma'am." I said, "Thank you!" with a big smile on my face. He also helped me get her INTO the wheelchair! He pushed her in, and read the menu off to her. After we ordered what we wanted, I realized I left my wallet in the truck so I told her just stay put and I'd be right back. The young worker said, "No ma'am. I got y'all two pretty ladies covered today. Don't worry about it!" With a confused look on my face, I said, "Wait..are you sure?" and he said, "100%." Then, my great grandmother looked at me, smiled, and said, "See, I told you so." :)
You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love. Galatians 5:13
