I know this is the fairfax forum but I need help. I had a friend last night arrested in Old town Manassas, i was not there but I am trying to track him down. Called the manassas police station and detention centre they didn't have him. Any suggestions?

Shit he's in Manassas. He's probably not around anymore. Their rough "Rock-Alcatraz" approach, I give him a 20% chance of survival in such conditions. Dysentery must be considered too, due to the health regs there. Good luck.

Update. He has returned. Drunk and swearing in public. Side note. How can you have freedom of speech yet still get arrested for swearing in public?

Very simple, because 1st Amendment rights are not unconditional or boundless.

He sounds stupid and obnoxious, expect repeat performances in the future. You may want to have him equipped with those tracking bracelets they stick on old people with alzheimers.

Probably because in addition to being drunk, he "acted a fool." Those charges are often thrown out in court, with the exception of the DIP/Drunk driving whatever it was.

I would bet he was in the drunk tank. Probably one of those clowns who wont give his name so the cops let him cool his heels until he learns who is in charge. Once they got his name and he sobered up he was sent home. I hope he learned a lesson but I doubt it.

Old Town Alexandria should sue Manassas for using the Old Town term. Manassas is not even close

Stick a LoJack up his ass. If it falls out, someone
In the drunk tank will push it back in - violently!

Mike O'Meara said recently that Old Town Manassass was comparable to Savannah or the French Quarter.

I thought drunk and swearing were requirements for Manassass residents? That plus at least two tattoos and some piercings.

In the sense that you can compare OTM to those othe locations, and then you can laugh hysterically.

Oh, wait, they're comparable in the sense that LFF (Mike O'Meara, a/k/a Lazy Fat Fuck) has fallen into the gutter, blind stinking drunk, in all three places.

Tell me about it. There is ONLY ONE "OLD TOWN" and that's in Alexandria. Love how Fairfax City and all these all towns try to make an area of theirs "old town". It's laughable.

It is not looking up. Keep dreaming.

Look at the crime rate and the schools. They suck.

Manassas will never change.

I've been to one place down there with a former co-worker. City Tavern? Place was full of guys who looked straight out of the movie "White Boyz". Saw a couple fights break out, realized there weren't any girls worth bothering with, and moved on.
