Any Quizno's left in the county?

I know the Chantilly location in the log cabin closed a while back but noticed the Pan Am Shopping Center store closed and the store in Vienna also closed.

After reading this article I understand why the employees at the stores always seemed in a foul mood.
http://thefranchisehound.com/2011/01/03/what-to-know-about-quiznos/

btws, talked to a manager at Tysons Taco Bell about a new store ever coming back to Merrifield
but that's unlikely unless someone with very deep pockets gets interested.
Taco Bell is converting all it's stores to franchisees

Over by the government center there is one where the Starbucks is. I don't know the name of the shopping center, but it is on 29 near Monument Drive.

Lets hope soon there aren't any Quizno's left. We need another mediocre chain eatery like we need more Mexicans in front of the 7-11.

There were a lot of frnachisees trying to bail and sell their locations on Craigslist a few years ago.

I always wondered why, thought maybe they were oversold or something.

Their seafood subs are killer though.

Quizno's makes fine subs and their soups are quite tasty but, they're overpriced...

The Quiznos franchise was waaay over sold. I'm pretty sure there were lawsuits. Not to mention that a lot of them were run by bored middle aged housewives that used way overvalued real estate valuations to borrow against home equity.

I think the average Quiznos build out was in the $250,000 range. What a huge ripoff. It shouldn't cost any more than $120,000 to build out a sandwich shop.

BTW, the one in Burke went bankrupt and then was taken over by corporate or some other buyout and re-opened. Or at least that's what I heard.

There's one in Merrifield in the H-mart shopping center that I'm single handedly keeping open. Probably won't be there for long tho since I'm the only idiot who's ever in the place.

Quizno's is terrible. Expensive, dried-out, flavorless stacks of shit. Subway sucks, too, but it doesn't cost an arm and a leg like Quizno's.

Sadly, it's still there. And it still sucks. Horrible, horrible service.

If you're fat, chances are, you like Quizno's. I worked with a guy who loved the place. He must have been 350 pounds. Good lord, what a fatso.

Gone, just like Jack-in-the-Box when they left the County back in the early 80's. Maybe Quizno's was caught slicing up kangaroo meat too?

I used to visit the Pam Am Quizno's, but it always smelled like an open sewer in the place and I could never figure out why? It was well kept otherwise.

I agree, good riddance. Quizno's food looked great on TV commercials, but pretty much sucked. I think the one near Clarendon is still open.

There's a new chain that's popped up in Ballston and Tysons: Jimmy Johns. Way better than Quiznos or Subway.

Quiznos seemed hot when they first came out. I remember the big thing was "toasty". I believe they single handidly inspired Subway to add toaster
ovens shortly after. I remember enjoying eating there back in 03', 04'.

I believe what happened was Corporate got greedy and created too many locations
too close together. Then on top of that they fleeced their franchisee's with
high startup costs and overly high foodcosts. The result was high prices and
too many locations which resulted in less volume of sales per location.

I stopped going to Quiznos a couple of years ago when I realized a large sub chips & a drink was about $10.00, Jesus! Very average taste in my opinion and because
of low volume thier veggies and fixins were usually dried out and stale.
Also, it just seemed like a depressing customer experience. The owners and
workers seemed sad and I just got a cheap feeling on how they measured cutting
the bread and weighed the meat. Subway is cheaper, less chincy and has more
volume per store. As a result, Subway veggies generally stay fresher.
