Unbelievable, this kid killed two people, plead guilty, was sentenced to 7 years in jail and then they suspended 6 of the years.
So, I guess it is a-ok with the courts to drive drunk while in high school, kill two people and get a little slap on the wrist and begin your life over by age 20.
This is just plain wrong.

Suspending 6 of the 7 years for driving while intoxicated? And he was a high school student at the time? Who does his family know? That *IS* wrong.
Harsher penalties are imperative to communicate the message that drunk driving will not be tolerated. It appears that the courts here are not taking a strong stance against drunk driving.

He should update his facebook. He graduated from Chantilly last year. I wonder where he will be in jail for one year. He got such a light sentence, I'm sure he'll be out in 3 months. He killed two people and he's gotten a slap on the wrist.

Will do all of his time at Arlington Co. Jail, and he knows Peter Greenspun his attorney. 6 months per life is actually quite harsh. He Woisard is also a victim, he has to think about this incident his whole life.

None of these posts are correct. The driver actually got 12 years, 10 suspended and served exactly 2 years. He is doing well now and heading to Va Tech next year. He has totally changed his life and is now and has always been very sorry for what he did. Also, his injuries were much worse than what any of you posted and the reason he did not go to jail until a year later was because of his injuries. These are facts...I know it is years later but here ya go
