I want everyone to vote NO. on the school board question. I am crying not sure what else to do. we as ta payers need to united and tell them enough is enough. People in Fairfax county don't know how to vote. In Southern Western Virginia this question would of been dead years ago no winning by 70%

What is the school board question? Does it involve improving writing skills?

You're not exactly making your case here...

Will Clifton ES be reopened?

No. It involves irresponsible financing. The county's children in the government-run schools will still be ill-educated.

Typical tea party B.S

I'm very happy with my kids' education in FCPS. I've been very happy with ES, MS and now HS. Apart from one ES teacher who was under family stress, the teachers and support staff have been excellent - and that's a typical experience with our friends and neighbors

The kids are being pushed pretty hard and the schools have been adaptive and responsive to their needs - which have been different from each other. They have lots of opportunities and we help them to take advantage of as many as possible

I'm pretty happy that they'll thrive at some of the country's most competitive universities

The one problem I would agree with is decades of underinvestment in the physical buildings - there's a lot of catching up to do, especially with some of the older buildings.

Where the schools have problems is with parts of the community who don't do their part e.g. in supporting the kids with homework and instilling a regard for education

Private companies and churches have no track record of delivering high quality education at scale.

Had a child go to private school all 12 years and one go to FCPS for 12 years.

Private education is top quality. FCPS is just a paper mill - poor quality education, and sub-standard teachers, admins and values as a whole.

Private school rocks.

The myopia exhibited above is downright painful. And the straw man angle is hilarious.

There should be a law that would allow only those who actually pay property taxes in FFX to vote on bonds and any other $$ related stuff.
