Yes, I do support Col. Chris Perkins, "Perkins for Congress." The upcoming primary will be interesting, as with our votes, he will be most likely Gerry "Weasel" Connelly's opponent. Gerry has a dismal record, both on the Fairfax Board of Supervisors, and in Congress siding with economic failures time and time again. Since 1995, he has been in one office or the other.

That's right, seventeen plus years. Chris Perkins is a Colonel Retired, Green Beret Army, that has the right stuff to help us all, number one bring accountability back to Washington, keep this area as part of his sphere of influence unlike Gerry who's happy to help out others such as Harry Reid and Congress members in other districts. Look at Gerry's record. Its awful. He is a career politician, who also was behind the "Gerry mandering" of the district. Don't let him win by default.

We cannot afford to put Gerry back in office. He is not only the joke of Fairfax County, but also of the United States Congress. A complete laughing stock, that we can finally get rid of at the election booth. First up, is the GOP primary. Then on to the General Election, as the 11th District deserves better, and as Col. Perkins has 24 years of service in the Army, that alone, along with his issues based campaign, makes him a far better choice than what's been occupying Fairfax like a nightmare for years. Go Col Perkins!

Cool story but where are your sources? Simply being in the Army doesn't quality anyone for anything other than being in the Army.

Perkins came out of nowhere. He's got a checkered political perspective and questionable conservative credentials. He's squishy on abortion, has no economic plan other than a few recycled talking points and word is he's campaigned for at least one Democrat for Congress. He seems to be putting a lot of energy into making sure his supporters know he was a colonel.

Ken Vaughn may not be as well known, but he is the true conservative in this race. He has some solid ideas about how to turn our economy around and cut government spending. Vaughn is a conservative Republican, not a RINO.

FU is not the best place in the world to promote your candidate. Granted, lots of folks in Fairfax County would prefer anyone but Connolly, but wait until after the primary so that you are only running against one opponent. Connolly decided to place his bet with Pelosi and Obama. We'll have to see whether that works out for him, but it is a clear distinction between him and any opponet.

And do urge Perkins to drop Colonel as his first name. Despite the large number of military in the 11th, there are even more who view it as a liability. His record as a Green Beret and his time working on The Hill will be well publicized without him needing to force the issue. Your message will get out, and the fact that Connolly has already formed Truth Squads will eventually hurt him as voters see right through that weasel. Focus more on identifying your supporters and encouraging them to vote. That's what will make the difference in this race.

Voters here care about transportation investments, education funding, and clean safe neighborhoods.

They don't care about your medals won fighting other bureaucrats in Arlington and DC.

They don't care about "limited government", "cutting spending", and other right-wing buzz words.

I just looked up this man's record. Impressive. Honorable. Pragmatic positions, compared towards Connolly or Vaughn. Perfect 11th district candidate of any party.

I am going to work my ass off to re-elect Gerry and President Obama, because the dems aren't perfect but the GOP completely denies reality. Their economic policies would lead to a depression, like it almost did in 2008.

Ken Vaughan is a great guy with a solid conservative platform. I met him 3 days ago at an event. He has my vote. Pro life and pro second amendment. We don't need another government insider such as Perkins. Look at Perkin's stance on the second amendment and the military (nation building). Both are excellent, and much better than previous folks whom ran against the Weasel.
