Man arrested on weapons charges in Reston

A Sterling man has been charged with brandishing a weapon after police say he pulled out a gun and pointed it at a group of people arguing in Reston Town Center.

Police said Mansoor Sadat, 39, of Sterling went to assist his brother — who was involved in a verbal argument around 11 p.m. March 3 in the 11900 block of Market Street in the Reston Town Center area.

Police said Sadat pulled a handgun from his waistband and pointed it at the victims. He was charged with brandishing, no permit to carry a concealed weapon and public intoxication.

Seriously, the concealed carry is a dissapointment since it just gives a bad impression in the minds of many of those of us who do carry concealed legally and never have issues surround it.

One need not look any father than Springfield and the Mall to see what the magic of the Metro does. It's like a stargate bringing the dregs from one end of the county to the other. Reston is going to be an untapped goldmine for the DC cretins.

Another example of why allowing permitted concealed carry in restaurants that serve alcohol was not the "drunken wild west" the critics and scare mongers said it would be. Here you have a violent act by someone who was drunk and carrying concealed without a permit.

This will happen, good thing Virginia came around and is one of many states that let law-abiding people who carry concealed and not drink do so without fear of being thrown in jail.

the way i see it, the sand nigger had a right to defend himself it is. fuckin sandy just needed a permit, and the sand nigger would have walked away clean it is.

Now was Mansoor Sadat, 39, of Sterling legally entitled to even have a handgun in VA in the first place? Is he a non-resident? Is a an illegal? Foreigner who somehow forgot to go back home? Was the hand gun legally obtained?

One way I know. If you want to see if you're legal for a hand gun in Virginia all you have to do is go purchase it, if you make it through the state check you're fine and if you lied on on of the questions you're in trouble (felon, residency status, mental case).

I have seen many folks come up short (not speaking any or good English) at the gun dealer, its kinda funny watch them walk away, kinda like at the DMV.
