Fairfax to Lanham, MD commute - How long?

Thinking about taking a job in Lanham, MD. Live on the Centreville/FFX border.

Leaving the house at 6:30AM approx what time to I arrive in Lanham?

Leaving Lanham around 3:00PM approx what time do I arrive home?

Nice pay but, concerned that the commute would be too much.

You are looking at a miniimum of an hour each way. More likely 1.5 hours though.

Why not just move to Lanham?

Obviously you have never been to Lanham! I work there and live in Fairfax, takes about 45 min to an hour but worth it not to live in PG County!

I have been to Lanham. The OP lives in Centreville so I don't see much of a downside to moving to Lanham.

I do this commute every weekday now and it sucks. It takes me over an hour up and almost 1.5 hours back in the evening, and to top it all off, I have to work with an asshole ex-jock who can't speak.

I lived in Lanham years ago and at that time it was rather nice
but when all the condo's and apartments were built "Ghetto" started
moving in from DC and ruined the place. Glad I moved to Fairfax.
