Liar Obama warns of catastrophy if his big gov shuts down. Truth is nothing would happen. The rich fatcat politicians just wouldn't go to work. Oh boo hoo the EPA couldn't protect us. The USDA wouldn't be there to stop the demons.

This is all a charade. Obama will not make the tough decision to cut gov spending. Instead he blames repubs for everything and kicks the can down the road.

We are doomed because the politicians are all in it for themselves and their cronies personal gain.

Remember how the sky was supposed to fall with the sequester? Oops, now there's an inconvenient truth for libtards and Barack "Pinocchio" O'bummer. Looks like agencies have figured out a way to survive with 2% less.

Maybe this shut down will help show we can trim more fat and keep on keeping on.

Shut down or not, we can't really blame Congress. We have to blame ourselves. Congress has an approval rating of around 10%, but every 2 years we the voters keep sending the same schmucks and slimeballs back. We keep doing the same thing, and we keep getting the same result. Why are we surprised?

evidently a few moderate and courageous republicans are actually standing up and putting an end to this bullshit.

To anyone who thinks they are cowering in their willingness to end this stalemate, consider that it is those who are beholden to the base for their precious money that are the real cowards; these republicans who vote to stop this idiocy are most likely going to get primaried out the party elite.

Fuckin messed up situation that people who actually want to govern are the very people who will end up being kicked out, and more of these moron Ted Cruz types will be brought to us teaching us about legitimate rape and what it means to be an american (cough canadian)

You do realize a shutdown wastes a ton of government money and time. Just one example is the National Park service has to start performing shutdown actives, put up sign and erect gates.

Not to mention all the wasted time and paper starting and stopping projects for no reason.

Oh noes! The Panda cam at the Nat'l Zoo will be turned off! Really? It's paid for by the hour and just can't stay up if the government shuts down? That's why this is all just a bunch of drummed up drama, nothing more.

You do realize that tourism generates money for the area, right? Most of that money goes to the private sector actually, so it's not just government workers who lose out. The panda cam and national parks are part of tourism no matter whether you like them or not. The National Zoo itself will be closed (along with the Smithsonian museums).

Will there be no people working at the zoo tomorrow taking care of the animals? Does the Panda cam require 24/7 supervision by a human? I don't have a problem with the zoo or the camera, my point is that it's all just hyped-up drama to scare people.

Wow, such important things to suffer a closing. Why don't we take the time and figure out why They are running wild spending like a college kid with his parents american express card.
I could give a fuck about the Gov't slugs..They don't do shit!!! A few days without pay would do them good.
I don't a flying fuck about the museums either, lock the doors, the shit will still be there, when this mess is fixed.

Yes the panda cam is bringing down the national debt. Forget NY, las vegas, miami, san fran ect national parks is what fuels the tourist industry. Your brain has been compromised. Especially this time of year it is devastating......
