Two Robbed in Fort Hunt Area Motel
Mount Vernon Police District – Two masked men robbed a man and woman staying at the Travelers Motel, located at 5916 Richmond Highway, around 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 13. The victims, a 33-year-old man and 38-year-old woman, were asleep inside their room when two men, one armed with a gun, forced entry through the door. The suspects tied up the victims and stole two laptops and the woman’s purse. The suspects fled in the victims’ vehicle, a 2007 Ford Expedition.
The suspects were described as black, in their late 20s, between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall and 190 to 210 pounds. Both suspects were wearing all dark clothing; one suspect had hazel-colored eyes and the other wore silver-framed glasses. The victims did not require medical attention.
