DC101 Chili Cookoff

Date: Saturday, May 14th, 2005 (Today)

Time: Gates: 11am

Location: Independence Ave & 12th Streets SW, Washington D.C.

Tickets: Tickets can be purchased in advance at ticketmaster for $25 and $35 @ The Door. Admission for children under 6 is free (but not really recommended)

Feat: Papa Roach, Chevelle, Trust Company, and 4 other no-name bands that I've never heard of

the chili cookoff used to bring some really big names. i was hoping that this year would bring some huge bands to the area with the (half) demise of hfs. totally forgot about the chili cookoff until i saw this thread, guess that means i'm not going :(

Oh yeah, thats what I want to do. Hang in a huge crowd of drunken frat boys while waiting in a 30 minute line to use an overflowing porta potty, then wait in another 30 minute line for a crapy 5 buck warm budweiser.

It is entertaining to hang out outside the fences though. One time I saw a dude ten ffet away from me throw a plastic bottle over the fence into the crowd and the police were on him.

I had to listen to some loud mouthed Texan blow off for twenty minutes

Most of these radio sponsered events are total pieces of shit with overpriced drinks and and white trash just looking for something free. Pay a few bucks and go do something fun without assholes puking on you
