Problems with Cox internet

I've been having a lot of problems the past few days. The internet will randomly freeze up and it won't let me load anything. It won't disconnect me but it will interupt anything I'm doing whether its playing online or just using the computer. Does this sound like a problem with just my internet or is anyone else having this problem? I live in Herndon by the clocktower if that helps at all

No issues here. Could be your cable modem, or router if you're using one.

Try rebooting your computer first.

Have a wireless router? Have you configured it to at least TRY to disallow others from using it without your permission?

Hit Ctrl-Alt-Del and look over the image names of the processes running on your computer - everything look "normal"?

Git the Start button down there at the bottom of your display, see the "Run..." item? Hit that and type "msconfig.exe" in it. Go ahead and run it. Click on the "Startup" tab. Everything look fine by you? You can, if you wish, Google for each and everything executing there to see what the 'Net says about them - sometimes you can be surprised.

I use Cox in the Chantilly/Centreville area and have been having no problems.

SlowP in the other thread said it was the servers and the whole Internet is down, so check your servers.
