FCPD cruiser 47 in a 25 no lights clocked on radar

June 9th 2011, i have the bushnell radar gun out, seeing how fast my kid can throw and just testing the gun out, cars coming through the neighborhood, my finger on the trigger, trigger pulled most car were going about 26-31. It was hot outside, pretty quiet day really, suddenly i hear an engine roaring accelerating vigorously till he saw me and my kid the monstrous roar stopped, it still continued to travel at a high speed but no more gas was applied when the monstrous engine saw my face. The car passed it was a marked cruiser of the fairfax county division. Radar gun in hand. I let the car pass me so im not aiming a gun looking device at a cop once he passes about 100ft i shoot him. The gun takes about 2 seconds and reads 47 mph. 47mph reckless driving, 22mph over the PSL. If i had shot him earlier while he was on the gas i would have got him going 50mph easy probably over that. He can double the speed limit passing my kid playing and get away with it and i cant go over 10mph the PSL on a highway without it being a criminal offense is just crazy.

And it just so happens to show the same speed you allegedly clicked the officer going? I call Bullshit.

The picture shown is in kmh not mph. attached pic of my gun. If i see one again i will be sure take a picture with my phone so i can post it here and send fcpd a copy. I dont think it will be too hard to find another one doubling the PSL.

Lights were off, let off the gas completely when he saw me staring at him, he stopped at the stop sign for a good 10 seconds at the end of the road. I really doubt he had somewhere to go.

This doesnt surprise me in the least. Cops are always abusing their power and are all pieces of shit. You should report him for sure. I wish he would go to prison and get raped in the ass

His lights being off doesn't mean he wasn't responding to an event. He let off the gas completely because there were pedestrians/people nearby, and as we all know pedestrians can be rather unpredictable.

Maybe your right i dont know, we wont really ever know. Why would you double the PSL when you can see the stop sign not that far away and why would you stop at the stop sign for 10 seconds. If your going to double the PSL at least know where to go.

How do you know he stopped at the stop sign for 10 seconds because he didn't know where to go?

I dont, how do you know he was stopped doing police business? Was this you i caught recklessly driving? Its okay your in the clear i didn't take a picture or get your plates. Oh wait just in! My neighbor down the street took a picture of him stopped.

canstock1243933.png

but really i dont know why he stopped if he was going to an illegally parked car emergency, 50mph in a 25 is a little quick i can see maybe 40 tops being okay and put your lights on if your going to be going that fast in a residential area.

Sorry to burst your bubble but there are different levels of response to an emergency. CODE 1 to 3. The levels of response are weighed against public safety. Officer down is the highest level of fuck everybody else.

10mph over the posted speed limit isn't criminal

you should apply to become a cop...your court testimony will be great

LOL. This is the biggest line of bullshit I've heard all day.

Sorry bucko but it's hard to make up a reason why you'd happen to have a radar gun in your hand when a cop goes flying down the road. "Seeing how fast my kid can throw" doesn't cut it. Better luck next time.

You know, when I see a cop doing something wrong/bad/stupid, I also post on Fairfax Underground instead of calling my local station and asking for a supervisor or the county non emergency number where you know, something might actually happen.

what's funny is how the OP would complain if he called 911 fof his kid, and the cops DIDNT show up all lickity-split cause they were obeying the 25 MPH rule

Dude, if you REALLY want to know, why dont you call yr cops District HQ, tell them what happened, and see what's up?

Will have a better chance of a real answer than just bitching about it on the interweb.......................

Please tell me you have something better to do with your time than clock cars from your front yard with a crappy radar you purchased at spencer's. Actually don't, I hate being lied to.

It is if the speed limit is 70MPH and you're in Virginia, you simpering moron.

The cop could have been searching the area for a perp. That would explain why he wasn't lit up, moving quickly down the streets, and why he was stopped at the intersection for ten seconds or so, to look around. Not every 911 response requires lights and sirens. There are times where it's a tactical advantage to not draw attention to yourself with L/S.

Also, there are no 70mph speed limits in Fairfax. The HOV is 65, and you need to get east of Haymarket on 66 to hit 70. But yes, reckless driving, which is a jailable offense, is 20 over or 80+ regardless (mph).
