I hate jamming java. Full of families and lame teetotalers. But Marcy Playground is coming to play there! Its too bad, I thought they would be able to play at a better place, but maybe I'll go anyway.

lol, I remember reading awhile back that they were playing shows on some Carribean cruise line. They must be willing to play anywhere.

I remember watching some "where are they now" special on Night Ranger in the late 90s and at that time they were basically busking in a park. Okay, not literally. But they were playing shows that were free to the public for some Parks Department somewhere. And there was virtually no one there to watch them.

Jammin Java is lame, the coffee sucks, it attracts emo teenagers, and whenever I go in there several people are using the wifi to play World of Warcraft.
This is one independent coffee shop that deserves to be obliterated by Starbucks.

Everybody has been right so far about Jammin' Java; which makes it all the more stupid that Big O and Dukes would have their "comeback" appearance there. WTF happened to Velocity Five?

I saw the "One Hit Wonders of the 90s" on VH1 and they had Marcy Playground on there. They basically said that when that song hit, people still didn't know it was them and they were still playing to small crowds and that they'll play anywhere to crowds of any size. So I guess Jammin' Java is par for the course.

I’ve never listened to a whole Marcy Playground album and I’m not a fan of Collective Soul but Fountains of Wayne have made a few very good albums. I thought they pretty much sucked until I listened to more than the few songs played on the radio. Great songwriters.

DC 101 seems to think it was a good song. Probably the only station in the country that still plays that song. Worst rock radio station ever.

Marcy Playground is actually an incredible band and they are great songwriters. Looks like they are playing a festival in Maryland on Saturday, which may be why they are playing jammin java friday.
