Looking for a great GP

I am looking for a female GP. I would like to stay in the Fair Oaks/ Fairfax Circle area.

I have great health insurance and I can go to anyone.

Also go to the library and look at Washington Consumer Checkbook magazine.

EDIT: Might want to check out Angie's List too. Do some googling to see if you can find a discount code before you sign up.

I wouldn't put any faith in those top doctor lists, they're bogus. I think people just pay to get on those things, or happen to know someone who gets them listed. Both doctors in the office I go to are on the list, but they are just prescription dispensing machines and little else. Certainly not "top doctors", that's for sure.

It's hard to find a good doctor, They are like any other profession; mechanics, plumbers, handymen, lawyers etc. Most are crap, but there are a few good ones. Good luck finding one.

Really, some of the nonsense on this sight is too much.

Here is a serious recommendation...Dr. Cecily Havert of Springfield Family Medecine. Sorry, it's not your preferred location, but she is worth the drive. She was recommended to me by a doctor-friend, and she has guided me through all kinds of issues. The BEST doctor I have ever had bar none.
