Reston House Fire - Tree Fern and Riders Lane

Scanner has a house fire going in Reston - Tree Fern and Riders Lane. Sirens going off every five seconds.

I drove by the fire mid morning. It was spouting a bunch of black smoke out of the center of the roof, but the roof was still intact. Fire trucks were continuing to arrive. Probably a significant amount of damage.

Hope the family the best getting through this, and that everyone got out okay.

There was a fire in my neighborhood about a week-and-a half ago, they called three alarms for it and the FFs managed to extinguish it within minutes. I was impressed by their response time and ability to save the house (It was a circuit breaker issue).

When the wind was blowing just right, you could actually smell the burnt debris even a few days afterwards.
