Trick or Treat 2010 in Fx Co/Fx City

Does anyone know if either Fx Co/Fx City has announced that trick or treaters should go around for treats on Saturday, 30 October (used to be known as "Beggars' Night) instead of on the 31st? I recall some prior concern about trick or treating on a Sunday. Cable news (HLN) reported that some major cities that host NFL games have changed trick or treating to Saturday night to avoid conflict with their games. I live right near the County/City line and usually get kids from both areas. Just wondering, so I can plan accordingly. Thanks!

The front of my house will be dark on Sunday because of football. No candy for kids this year.

I may have some fun with some friends and put together and post on their doors a phony sign that says "NO CANDY HERE - Occupant is Registereed Sex Offender"

I think its a legal rank as long as you dont use the county seal or anything.

It's a teacher workday on Nov. 1st, so I am guessing that trick or treating will still be on Sunday.

You can't just "change" the day. Trick or Treating for for Halloween. It's on a Sunday or weekday? Sorry, them's the breaks. It's raining and cold? Boo-hoo. Didn't stop me you pansy kids.

If you have kids and you don't want to take them trick or treating because you would rather stay home and watch football you're a terrible human being and you shouldn't have had kids.

Indeed.

Also true.

People, this is why DVR's were invented! Pause the game, answer the door, have some fun, then go back to the game. You can catch up in the commercials.

And sharing the experience of going trick or treating with your kids is not something to be missed because of a game you can DVR and watch when you get home!

heres the link to that sign. it doesnt say 'sex offender' but people (esp. parents) should know.

Its always fun to put it on coworkers cubes too:)

Well, gee, I wonder why Fairfax City changed the day the 4th of July was celebrated this year to Saurday, 3 July. FYI, I don't have kids, just wanted to plan when to be available to hand out treats. Seems like some people just have to "read between the lines" for what they want to see in a question...

Placing a sign on someone's door stating that they are a sex offender is a good way to get a boot in your a$$ - or worse. Imagine some jerk doing that to you.
