Well well well, Ms.Ballou was the "Interim principal" of
Dogwood last year. and Now I saw her and she working at principal at Graham Road. Mr.Terry Dade is the principal at Dogwood, any reason why they switch??

Duh...an interim principal is just that. "interim" meaning temporary, not permanent. Nothing sinister and nothing to do with "can't keep a regular principal". In fact, the last regular principal at Dogwood was there for 7 years.

Why can't you people check your facts?

There was an interim principal who filled in the role of the principal until one could be found. As the interim was not qualified for a full-time job, and the school is low on the FCPS priority list, there was no rush to get a permanent replacement.

The school is a gulag, a last outpost for teachers and administrators. It's the last place money goes and the first to get the worst teachers who can't make it anywhere else.

Often the interim principal is a retired principal the county has brought back for fill-in gigs. They're put in place for the short term when somebody gets pregnant or dies, and they move on when a full-time replacement can be found and usually at the start of the school year. The county does not like to start principals mid-year. Some retired principals like this kind of a gig as it is somewhat flexible.

You can't be a principal and not be qualified. Sorry, doesn't work that way.

I went to this hellhole of a school in the 70s. It sucked then and it sucks now. Caters to low income people who don't care or don't have the time to vote for political candidates who could help them. If it had burned to the ground, the county would have been better served.

For years, Dogwood Elementary is where FCPS sent incomepetent principals who were preparing for retirement, just putting in the time because they could not be put out to pasture at Gatehouse. I see nothing has changed in that regard by the experience of the last few occupants of the head office.

Isn't this the school where one kid was pimping out girls from that school back in the late '90's? I remember on the newcasts that the other kids called him "Mr. Pimp". LOL!!!! Elementary school kid already pimping, friggin hilarious!!!

It's the school the county doesn't like to acknowledge, but it knows it has to keep open. It checks the box of serving the area, but it serves no one. It's a glorified day care center and a marginal one at that.
