Georgetown Watefront Docked Boats
Posted by: boats ()

What's up with the docked boats at the Georgetown waterfront? When the weather's nice and people are out you got all these boats docked, front and back, and up to four boats or more docked side to side extending away from the pier. Do they have to pay to dock there? I see lots of women going on those boats from the pier. Is it like if you're a hot girl you can just go on any boat or what? Seems like the place to show off if you got the money to get yourself a nice yacht.

Usually more even crowded and bigger boats:

I've actually asked one of the boat owners there few weeks ago and he said it was free (unless you stay overnight, although he wasn't sure if it's allowed at all). You can consume alcohol onboard, although gotta have a designated 'operator'.

Rich people can pretty much do whatever the fuck they want. If you had a poor old black guy with a crappy Schwinn walking down that same boardwalk, fucking complex security would chase his ass out of there.

I own a ship. No, scrub that, I own an entire armada. When I roll up to Georgetown, they think they're under siege again, 198 years later.

How so? Can you elaborate?

Those females who hang out on power boats on the Potomac tend to suffer from abnormally large labia and skin that looks like Topsider leather by the time they're 35.

I think it comes with the territory. I've had the chance to work with some rich folks over the years, and only a few weren't Class A douche bags. I think most of them are trying to compensate for some shit that happened to them in High School.

I think you know why, Mr. Saylor.

Women like boats because they are a sign of power and wealth. They can also go topless away from crowds and skinny dip with no perverts around trying to snap pictures.

+1 - Saylor and Snyder are two peas in a pod. Not much in the way of humility and acts very petulant and entitled.

Back in the dot-com 'good old days' when MicroStrategy stock was trading for $500 per share they had a huge annual company trip. A friend from grad school was in charge of this and other corporate events and she tells a story how one year they did a 2 or 3 day cruise. Well, the weather was not very good and the captain (this is a cruise ship like from Carnival or Royal Caribbean) decided to basically drop anchor in a safe area and ride out the storm since they really did not have a destination.

Saylor notices that the boat is not moving and tells my friend to check this out. She speaks with the captain who explains the situation and she goes back to Saylor who has what has been described by other people I knew who worked there as a tantrum. He asks to see the captain and more or less orders him to get the boat moving since he is paying a lot of money for a 'cruise'. The captain holds his ground, Saylor continues and only backs down when the captain threatens to throw him in the brig.

That is a true story. My wife was on that cruise.
I went on the last company cruise as a significant other. The company was tanking at this point and couldn't afford to send employees gratis so they opened it up to spouse, sig. others, at cost. I remember Saylor holding court at the upper deck bar when we were at sea, throwing his money around while his cronies gawked. The rumor was that he couldn't get laid on his own cruise.
That being said, I had a great time on that cruise. Emperor/ss of the Seas, biggest cruise ship operating at the time.
