Caps Gear Locally?

Is there some place in Fairfax County where I can pick up some cheap caps gear? A hat or shirt?

Have you even bothered looking anywhere? That shit is everywhere in Fairfax County. Dicks, Modells, Sports Authority, Kohls, Wal-Mart, JC Penny..just to name a few.

Oh, and by the way, I hate bandwagon fans like you.

+1.

Whenever I go out of town on business (which is rare) and it's to a city with an NHL team, I try to buy a jersey from that city. I make an attempt to actually go to the arena they play at and get one from there.

I hate all you douches who QQ about bandwagon fans. The flood of support is good for the DC area and it improves the exposure of the team. IE, you get more coverage on the team since more people are interested therefore you directly benefit.

Just because you are a loser, don't forget everyone loves a winner.

I'd like to say that I agree with most of what JD just said. Bandwagon fans aren't all THAT bad. I jumped on the bandwagon late last season and didn't get off (don't plan on it anytime soon, either). I used to watch hockey as a kid and went to a couple of caps games when they were in those gay ass teal and gold uniforms, but I never devoted much time to following the team. I'm all in now and yes, I catch shit from Doesn't Matter and others close to me for being a bandwagon fan but I'm not ashamed. Everybody starts being a fan of any given team at some point. Those who give up supporting the team after they lose are bandwagon fans, those of us who continue to support the caps even after the run ended last season need to be cut a little more slack. (IMHO)

If I became a fan a few months later than I did, then I would also be a bandwagon fan. I started going to games in the 2006-2007 season. I bought season tickets at the beginning of the 2007-2008 season. They were the worst team in the NHL that Thanksgiving, then they fired Glen Hanlon and hired Bruce, and the rest is history.

Haha. I have an old black & gold Ovechkin jersey. I like wearing it every now and then since you never see anyone wearing that logo anymore (although it's only been retired for like two years). But the new jerseys are waaay better.

Any of you fans ever go see the Caps practice over at Ballston Common Mall?
What's Ron Weber up to these days? Hanging out with Ken Beatrice?

Jump on board! The CAPS are where it's at!

...and yes, that change of logo/color scheme was uber ghey. Glad they went back to the old school jerseys.

Target probably uses some purchasing manager out in Minnesota who looked at the numbers for Steelers gear and said, "Wow. Lots of Pittsburgh fans there!"

Don't be surprised if you see this at Target stores by the end of summer...

There's an old guy who sells decent looking bootleg jerseys at Grevey's in Merrifield for $50 a piece.

I went a couple years ago when there was almost no one there. I think the practices are actually pretty crowded nowadays.

+1. Much preferable if our community with extra money to spend would buy up opposing team jerseys and walk around with those on instead.

Everything is typically more expensive at the areans and stadiums, at least in some of my experiences. Besides, who can afford to go to all of these games?

If I bought juvenile shit like team gear, I would buy only bootleg stuff. I couldn't live with myself if I put a dime in Danny Snyder's pocket.
