Fairfax County General :
Fairfax Underground
Welcome to Fairfax Underground, a project site designed to improve communication among residents of Fairfax County, VA. Feel free to post anything Northern Virginia residents would find interesting.
Getting my car washed this morning at Embassy Auto Wash in Fairfax saw a FCPD and GMU scout car in line. They did not pay, so I am wondering whether this is being done as a courtesy or if taxpayers are funding this. I know that firefighters take care of washing apparatus at each station (including smaller vehicles like BC and EMS Captain buggies), so why can't police officers take care of their vehicles?
They have contracts with local car washing vendors. It's probably more effcient that way rather than pay a cop OT to wash his car. They're probably not paying full price either, they're probably offered a discount rate.
Who really gives a flying fuck.. Is your life that miserable that all you have to worry about is who is paying for a goddamn car wash. Shoot yourself..
The county does have a contract. You simply sign for the service and walk away. It's billed directly to the county. In addition, any service is available; from the basic wash to a full detail including shampooing the carpet. The county pays $100 for a full detail.
