I believe that people who shake babies like that should be taken to the paint dept of any store and have their head put in the paint shaking machine

Holt said Munoz said that "maybe I grabbed him too hard. . . . I shook him three or four times. Not hard."

Guillermo Uriarte, one of Munoz's attorneys, said she had a long record of excellent, patient child care. He said Munoz was eager to cooperate with police, went step-by-step through Noah's day and "never admitted to shaking the baby."

WELL SHE CLEARLY ADMITTED TO SHAKING THE BABY. but in the next sentance it says she DID not.

Sounds like another one will slip through the cracks.
Choked on milk, gimme a break then the storu changed to maybe I picked him up to hard. Well we dont know what she did "TOO HARD" but we know she's admitted to atleast that much.

AND AS FAR AS THIS SHIT ABOUT NECK INJURY NEEDS TO BE APPEARENT. that is absolute bullshit. BULLSHIT!

what about if the babys head was being jolted buy hitting something soft like while in a car carrier a basinette or crib matress.

THE STUPIDITY OF OUR "science community" never ceases to amaze me.

After reading that article, my question is who in the hell leaves their four month old in the care of someone they found on Craigslist??? I feel terrible for this family and the baby, but come on! Just because someone is licensed doesn't mean they have your child's best interests at heart.

I think you should have been shaken to death as a baby so that we could be spared of your inane drivel and ridiculous moose pictures.

Anyone else think it may have had a seizure while drinking milk? Perhaps the article has influenced some opinions.

My favorite line was "We don't think he is the baby he would've been."

Ehhh, they don't think, but they are NOT sure. How do they think?

BTW, I prefer mine on the rocks.

From the Washington Post comments section:

Au contraire, my friend.

Several years ago I was accused of a loathsome crime. I have never done anything like what I was accused of.

The detective, who specialized in sex crimes against children, framed me. I was not charged but still lost my job.

I am just curious to see who the detective is in this case.

gmuhokie2009 wrote: "Who is the detective? Why is the name not revealed?"

What difference does it make? It's quite irrelevant at this point.

What it's come down to is a battle of experts over the truth or falsity of the proposition: "it is impossible to shake a baby hard enough to cause that kind of trauma without causing noticeable trauma to the child's neck as well."

It seems kind of crazy that a jury of lay people, not trained in science, will be the ones deciding which of the expert scientists is correct.

But if there is no sign of trauma to the child's body - as there usually is in these cases - then I would really question whether abusive treatment took place.
