Today I pulled into the WalMart entrance off of Lee Hwy in the city of Fairfax. I was going into one of the smaller stores further down.

Right near the road to WalMart was a homeless family of four. Two adults and two kids. The sign said something like "Lost our home we are a family of four". I could see one small child and the two adults.

It was so hot out. I wanted to buy them some food and water but when I came back they were gone.

My first thought is I should call the police. No one should be out in this heat.

Should I have called the police?

It's okay they were lying. They show up from time to time, they're part of a larger group scamming for money. If you were to take a drive down towards Fairfax Circle, you'll see them and a group by a van. They do this every year and they pick hot and cold days to get money. (People are much more sympathetic to them).

The only thing the police would really do is make them relocate or arrest them for loitering, especially the fairfax city police. You seem them making homeless people get out of the city all the time.

Trying to buy them food and/or water is the best thing you could have done. Unless theyre getting out of control no reason to call the police

I think being homeless and out in hot weather CPS would take away your kids?

You can find them down at the Lamb Center at Fairfax Circle. Had you ask them what they needed the answer would have been Ca$h.

There is so much money in Fairfax County for families in true need. The only way to lose the help is active drug abuse.

Next time call the local police and report a child endangerment issue. The police are required to protect the children.

You should have called the cops on those scumbags, report them as dangerous, then walk up and harass them. Then when you get your ass kicked by a filthy bum and feel embarrassed by it, pull out your 9mm and go to town on their worthless ass. Claim self defense.

Go into the Wall Mart and buy a squirt gun and either some bleach or Tabasco sauce to fill the gun. Come out and squirt the homeless mercilessly until they turn to leave. Give chase and continue soaking them as they retreat and cross a river into Maryland or Prince William County. With any luck they will be too blinded by the bleach or Tabasco to swim, and they will decease in the river.
