Take a day off and relax

The Washington Redskins will open their 2009 Training Camp on Thursday, July 30 at Redskins Park, the team has announced.

Eight practices will be open to the public, capped by Fan Appreciation Day, which will feature an intra-squad scrimmage, on Saturday, Aug. 8.

The intra-squad scrimmage begins with individual drills at 1:20 p.m. The scrimmage begins at 2 p.m.

Last year’s Fan Appreciation Day drew more than 28,000 spectators.

All practices are open to the public free of charge.

Parking lots will open approximately 90 minutes prior to the scheduled start of practice and gates will open approximately one hour prior to the start of each practice.

Wasn't the traffic control a fiasco last year? Why not hold it at FedEx Field like they used to? (Fan Appreciation Day, that is).

Did Danny-boy finally realize that charging fans for fucking practices was a bad PR move?

I'm so glad my wife's club level season ticket contract is up after this year. I can't stand giving that bastard any amount of money.

I was at the Mall this weekend and one of my kid's said, "Look dad. A Redskins' store. Do you want to buy something there?"

Er...Nope.

I just think the Redskins need to stepup their game. They always seem to be a fourth quarter team that is trying to catch up in the fourth quarter.

If they are ahead at halftime then they let the other team catch up and stop playing. The Redskins need to play EVERY quarter for the most points.

yeah. that seemed to be the thing with Gibbs in his second era. I hope Zorn can pull off a good season.
Jason Campbell needs to do something this year.
Jon Jansen is gone, he wont be on the injured reserve list anymore!!
Marcus Washington and springs were traded

Zorn as a weak O-Line and a QB who can't throw deep or read coverage very well. I would suggest he actually uses Cooley to catch the fucking ball this year.

My spot on the season ticket waiting list I got on years ago finally came up this year, but after realizing I could buy a big flat panel TV for every room in the house I would watch the game in for that amount of money I passed. I got lots of phone calls begging me to buy, my guess is if the Skins don't do well this season we're going to see a serious break in the consecutive sellout run.

I do like to go see a couple games per season.

I expect Danny will start hitting up localities for a new stadium soon. Dallas' new stadium beats FedEx in capacity and I'm sure Danny won't let that stand.

No shit. I don't know why anyone would want to freeze their ass off and pay $10 for a beer to watch that shit team lose. Fuck the Skins until Danny is out of the ownership group. He has ruined a storied franchise.

I usually go to a game or two with groups. My old college buddies and I get together for a big tailgate party reunion and then the game once a year. Great fun, 20 guys drinking beers, chowing on great food and generally being happy beer drinking fools.

I couldn't see having season tickets and going to every home game. I'd much rather watch the games at local sports bars on some large plasmas, much less hassle. Plus you get to see the other games also.

That's a fact. Except for those rare occasions such as getting together with some old buddies, would you want to fight traffic, sit in uncomfortable chairs in the elements, and be locked into a game, which if it sucks, you can't switch to a better one?

Plus I hate the Skins so much, that even when Chicago comes to town, I refuse to go. No thanks. I'll watch it on my 55" plasma and hit pause on the TiVo when I need to get a beer.

The Skins should beat the Rams, Lions and Chiefs. They could have a 50/50 shot against the Broncos and/or Saints.

I say 5-11 and Shanahan or Cowher will be the coach next year.

In order to win, Snyder is going to have to hire a decent coach and give him full control. That's what somebody like Cowher or Shanahan will demand. Snyder's ego is too much to give up that control. He wants a yes man.

He'll agree to the terms these guys want the way he agreed to the terms that Schottenheimer, Spurrier and Gibbs had. Then, once they are in, he'll simply not follow up on his promises. That's how this asshat does business and people keep falling for it.

All practices are open to the public free of charge.

He'll probably charge you $50 for parking.

Danny boy should just hand out vials of Vaseline when you enter either of the Redskins facilities, because he's gonna fuck you in the ass somewhere. He'd brand the air in the stadium or training facility and try to charge you for breathing it if he could.
