Because McAuliff is a carpetbagger who thinks he can simply ride into a state and win it based on his DNC C.V., and because brian moran is a liberal hack from Alexandria who can never possibly win in a general election.

Nonethless, I'm voting for McAuliff so that he can be nominated and them promptly slaughtered by Bob McDonnell.

Warner spend most of his term cleaning up Gilmore's mess.

VA Republicans seem to think government services are paid for by fairy dust.

As opposed to the Democrats who believe that government is great big, fat nipple that anybody can suck off of - as long as there are plentiful taxes to fund it.

Tax and spend. Tax and spend. Tax and spend. Tax and spend. Tax and spend. Tax and spend.

And, ban guns, ignore illegal immigrants, ban guns, ignore illegal immigrants,
ban guns, ignore illegal immigrants.

BTW, Moron is a carpetbagger from Boston just like his idiot brother.

If you're a Republican or you love the 2nd amendment, go out and vote for Moran tomorrow, it's in your best interest (it's an open primary so anyone can vote).

Small government sounds great in theory. I wonder why it's never actually been practiced (look at the % of GDP Reagan collected in taxes, it didn't go down.)

Tax and spend beats borrow and spend any day of the week.

The polls seemed pretty dead this morning. I walked in and the poll workers all perked up said "yayyy, somebody's here" in near-unison. That was around 5 after 7, and I was only the fifth voter of the morning.

One thing is for sure, VDOT needs either a shakeup, better funding, or both. The fucking potholes in this county are atrocious. Warner was big on pothole repair, Kaine either isn't or is leaving it to Fairfax County to fix state roads.

I don't give a shit about big transportation plans because we all know not much can be done until full-time or most-time teleworking is implemented and accepted by society. I just want my car to survive a month going to work and back without needing to spend a weekend in there sitting in line for an alignment.

There is NO way that Moran could be McDonnell in a statewide election and I doubt that McAuliffe could pull it off either. I had no idea who Creigh Deeds was a month ago, but he seems to have the right mix of skills and attitude along with a solid base in "real" Virginia to at least make this a fight. While McDonnell does not scare me as much as Gilmore or Allen, I would still rather see Deeds win since the Commonwealth needs a two-party system in Richmond.

Hmm, I thought Deeds was more 2nd Amendment friendly... They all should be.

According to the propaganda I got from Deeds' opponents, he voted twice FOR concealed carry in bars.

There's also a contested race in the 35th (Steve Shannon is running for AG) and one of Arlington's House of Delegates seats. Turnout may even hit double digits in Vienna today, there was a line of 0-2 people during my stay there. I was the 150th or so in Vienna-1.

McAuliffe has the best shot of all three on fundraising prowess alone. I voted for him, but was intrigued by Deeds and his prospect to lure the rural vote away from McDonnell. Either way, the nominee will out fund the Republican campaign by 2:1 and bring more grassroots voters to the polls in November.
