I want to get my Infiniti G35X painted

The car is in great condition and even the body is fine. Only 40K miles although it is 9 years old. I have owned it since it was new.

But the hood has multiple scratches - almost looks like a spider web - like something was rubbed on it. It is a fairly large area.

The roof also has a few scratches but it is limited and looks like someone scratched it with something sharp.

I'd like to get the roof and hood painted though if it does not cost too much more I may just have them paint the entire car.

Not looking for a Earl Schieb or Maaco type job but at the same time I don't want to pay anything exorbitant.

Any recommendations for an outfit that can do a decent job at a reasonable price would be welcome.

Quality Auto Body on Draper Drive. Not the cheapest, just the best.

Why not spend $300-$400 for a real detailer to perform "paint correction" on your car - you might find it returns the car to 90-95% of "new". Any deep scratches will still be there but most of the surface scratches will disappear.

Or spend $3000 on a good paint job...

Not sure if some of the scratches will disappear with detailing but I was going to have it detailed any way assuming that just the hood and roof would need to be painted.

The top one shows the scratches on the roof and the bottom one those on the hood.

That'll buff right out.

(Not really.)

The spider-webbing will but not the scratches through the paint. You probably could make them a little better but there's a limit to that. If you're good then you might be able to airbrush (better) or use one of the paint pens to touch up the scratches enough to blend them in at least. Won't be perfect but it will be much better. Note the if you're good part, don't try it otherwise or you'll probably just end up making a mess. But then if you're going to paint it anyway, what the hell.

You'll also pay quite a bit more for the repaint with the two-tone and striping btw.

I won't even try and do it myself. I know my limitations! :)

It is not two-tone ........ what you are seeing is the stainless steel trim near the moon-roof.
