Large field on Wolf Run Shoals near Rutledge

I drive by this field a lot and have always wondered what its story is (mainly how developers haven't been able to get their grubby hands on it)... According to the real estate assessment site, 70+ acres is managed by a Trustee based in Arlington, but the house on 10 acres in the middle is owned by a couple. No sales history that I can find on either parcel. Anyone know?

That is the older looking white house right near Chapel Rd. All the old homes on Popes Head were tore down and replaced with some pretty hideous Mcmansions, though those old houses were kind of eyesores too.

Hopefully that land will remain unmolested by local dipshit developers.

Sounds like the same family - Trust for major holding, regular real estate by overt person. Trusts can't be sued typically because they have no money to speak of - kid gets hurt on that acerage and there's no one to sue due to negligencem yet those "homeowners" in the middle of it all none-the-less enjoy the acreage.

Or something.

Interesting, thanks for the info! There's another similar property along Pope's Head that's not quite as big, but still nice to look at. I think that one's under land conservation, so hopefully it'll stay that way.
