Izaak Walton League info

I was interested in finding a place to practice my archery and maybe learn some pistol skills. Has anyone used the Arlington-Fairfax Izaak Walton League of American in Centreville? The web site looks good...any info is appreciated. Thanks.

REStonPeace and I took a little tour of the property. It is actually a significant plot of land and looked really nice. That being said, my archery experience dates back to girl scout camp so I really can't provide a good review.

they have 2 archery ranges, one long course with target and another in the woods. They ahve a farily long rifle/pistol range at least 100 yards if not more and a shotgun trap.skeet range. Thye also have a fishing lake,

I've belonged there for years and love it. Great for picnics too.
The friendly atmosphere is what makes it great though. If you join
though, expect to jump through some hoops. They're easy.

Do they still have camping spots there? A friend of my dad was a member and I vaguely remember camping out there when I was a little kid.

They had them when REStonPeace and I visited... and that was just a year or so ago.
