Has Sully's of Chantilly closed?

Went by Sunday for the Blues jam and place was closed. Inquired next door at the Kabob place and said they'd noticed Sully's hadn't been having big crowds except for Friday and Saturday. Heard the place might be up for sale.

New management/owner pissed off the built in crowd from the trailer park and let go of old employees. Then failed to do much promotion for the new Sully's. Sadly, looks like one of the few remaing live music venues in the county might be gone. Fairfax gets more and more boring. A dennis murphy la la la or as donie g. use to say about freda fa fa fa . or was that Howard(i'm the world's biggest sell out) Stern talking about Gary

The guy who owns Sullys also owns Jaxx in Springfield. I use to go to Sullys on Friday when they had $1 bottles and smoking. When the bar changed over it had a strange setup. The bar was divided into four rooms. One room for the bar, one room for bands, a back small bar area for smoking and a small party room area.

The new marble bar was nice but the bar was never able to bring a better crowd then the trailer park people who don't want to pay shit for anything.

I agreed the new bar didn't get promoted well.

As for a live band venue. Bungalows in Chantilly has been recently remodel and now has dance floor and stage for bands. Bands usually play Thurs-Sat. The band side is also smoking.
