Stupid Radio Tricks

Was wondering what you all think of this:
So, it is a safe assumption that WJFK's 'Junkies' make a good salary, most likely much higher than the median income for the DC area. Publicists and potential guests send books, CD's, DVDs, games and various hardware (bluetooth devices, etc). The other morning on The Junkies one of the hosts 'Cakes' and their producer 'Brett' admitted rather than properly distributing these goods to listeners, they actually take these things and post them on Ebay to sell for personal profit. Why would they admit to doing this on the air. It is essentially saying, I make good money, but it is not enough. Isn't this stealing? Doesn't this make you sick?

Actually, they should be fired for it. Once those materials are given to the station, they are company property. Maybe WJFK management doesn't care, but that sets a bad precedent. What happens when some employee who isn't on the air starts doing it?

Really? Yeah they are stupid admitting this, I heard what you're talking about, and what got me is that they freely admitted this with CK, the program director right there. What the fuck is going on at that station?

They obviously don't put listener prizes or station property on Ebay dummy. They are sent a ton of stuff for their personal use. They are also sent a ton of stuff to give away as prizes. I would bet that they put their own stuff on Ebay if they don't like it.

Why are you being rick?

I quit listening to talk radio years ago when it became clear many hosts were "casually talking" of TV shows, products and even mediaction as a way of slipping commercials into the so-called entertainment portion of the show.
