Does anybody know when King Kabob in old town Fairfax will open again?

That place had great food before they had a fire and had to shut down.. I heard they were going to open up again in the same spot. Does anybody know when?

They changed the name to King BBQ'd Kabob.

Actually the name is still the same - King Kabob.
I believe it is currently under construction, and will open either end of October or sometime in November. And yes they are opening in the same spot.

Any idea why it has taken so long? The fire happened well over two years ago...I can't believe that insurance takes that long to settle.

I do look forward to the reopening as it is one of our favorite carryout restaurants.

Coworker went there for dinner last night after work. She had some serious hershey squirts after eating. It's near the office, so I've been there before and liked it, but don't think I'll be going back after what she told me.

my girlfriend got food poisoning from there after eating lunch on monday. that is 2 separate incidents in one week, what's going on over there? i don't think we will be going back anytime too soon!!!

Sure this is the girlfriend speaking here now.

Well considering I had eaten there late afternoon and around 6PM my belly started to fell bad. I didn't eat later that night since I felt sick. The next morning the puking began!!! It didn't stop until very early morning today!!! So the Veggie platter I had was the only thing in my belly to cause me issues. That's proof enough for me!!! I will not be going back which is a shame I used to like King Kabob before it burnt down.
