Ingress - Google's Foursquare x Geocaching x AR Game

Are any of you playing the game "Ingress"? It's Google's first game and is primarily played via mobile phone by players who attack, capture, and defend various "portals" from people on the opposing team using various items and strategies (unlike in FourSquare where the "gameplay" simply involves checking in more times than someone else at a location).

I thought I'd ask on here because the gameplay is so localized. The game is in closed beta, but I have a few invites available if anyone is interested in it (especially in the Arlington area). The only downside is that i don't think there's an iPhone version yet, so it's only available to Android users.

I started playing recently, mostly in Fairfax. It is pretty fun. Take a slight detour to work and hit a few portals on the way. Resistance here.

Ah, I play on the Enlightened team mostly out in Arlington. I find myself taking slightly more "scenic" routes when going places and also exploring a lot of the local parks that I didn't even know were here.

I bet they are watching you too! The game does tend to make a player watch people around them, thinking others might be agents on the other team.
