Fairfax Underground
Welcome to Fairfax Underground, a project site designed to improve communication among residents of Fairfax County, VA. Feel free to post anything Northern Virginia residents would find interesting.
You probably wouldn't get a second date if you took her to Bunnyman...hahah...
um... Great Falls park on the Maryland side has the C&O canal...There are a bunch of little trails off of it that you can hike right by the river... a little beach to lay on too. Very beautiful... or... Burke Lake park has a little lake (obviously)..haha..that could be nice, you can rent a little boat...
I've always found that the Reston Town Center with Christmas lights and a nice dinner works well. There is also ice skating and lots of nick nack shops to walk in and out of.
It is too cold now, but I think the monuments are most beautiful at night. Just sit at the top of the stairs to the Lincoln memorial and talk. Or head over to the Einstein memorial to sit on the lap of a crazy haired bronze statue. Then walk to the World War II memorial; it is stunning at night (and it has water).

or hey the messanic temple in Old town. Top of the steps or lil way down has a great view of the city over Alexandria at night. Go bar hopping/shopping/pleeeeeasure cruise. Say hi to the dude who serenades you on the sidewalk and throw some money in his case!
I also suggests bonfires. Everyone likes a good bonfire. Campfires are okay too, but bonfires are best. No, I take that back; bonfires and s'mores are best.

Yeah he is sitting on top of a building in reston, dangling his feet making googly eyes at Burpgun.....who is sitting across the alley from him in his bedroom with a sniper rifle.
Another good spot is about an hour away at Bayfront Park, on the Chesapeake Bay, about 5 min. south of Chesepeake Beach, MD or 5 min. north of Breezy Point. I got a nice beach fire going there a couple times and just watched the sunset from the sand...just watch out for trees falling off the top of the cliff behind you.
Also, in the Falls Church area, there is Lake Barcroft. They may have actually blocked off any entrances to the lake now, but if you go down Sleepy Hollow Rd, turn onto Dearborn Rd, just follow the road until you see one of those wooden signs for the park. Drive slower though, it can be easy to miss.
I don't mean to spoil everyone's fun but there is nothing romantic about freezing your ass off...
Why not rent a cabin in Midgetville, located in the scenic part of Vienna? I hear they are readily available and the going price is pretty cheap... it used to be an insane commune/ asylum for the vertically challenged peoples of Fairfax, but now it has been turned into a quaint spot to rejuvenate, relax, and rock that bitch to kingdom come..

Be a great place for a suicide too, Gravis! (hint, hint, hint)

Foster's death was concluded to have been a suicide by inquiries/investigations conducted by the United States Park Police, the Department of Justice, the FBI, the United States Congress, Independent Counsel Robert B. Fiske, and Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr.[1].
After a three-year investigation, Starr concluded that Foster's death was a suicide. CNN stated on February 28, 1997, "The [Starr] report refutes claims by conservative political organizations that Foster was the victim of a murder plot and coverup," but "despite those findings, right-wing political groups have continued to allege that there was more to the death and that the president and first lady tried to cover it up."[
