RTC dawg...100% I suggest you come to McCormicks..you might find a nice lady friend or get jumped by some white dudes with gold chains, tribal tats and chin strap beards.

One is a suburban cougar fest, the other is a frat party full of douches. NOVA's night life is painfully boring, and it all comes down to the fact that to be a bar in virginia you basically have to give up any unique identity or inventive concept so that you can spend money on food that spoils and gets thrown away. Its all just tied to a nearly century long temperance movement which hurts small businesses.

If you want a good night out experience you have to go to U st or H st, everything else is the same old irish pub concept that you might as well go to Bennigans to enjoy for half the price

Clarendon is 95% populated by young folks in their 20s, with degrees, professional jobs and cash. They're out to get a buzz on with their pals and hook up. Most of the police action is taking care of the drunks passed out in the area and checking for DUIs. The other 5% are blue collars kids, assorted beaners and urban youth who want to hang out with yuppies. There's also an occasional middle aged person who is wondering how they got lost and how to escape.

RTC is about 60% middle class, middle aged folks and 40% youth, many of whom seem to be looking for trouble. But even the middle aged people in RTC get into knock down drag out brawls. It can get messy as the night wears on. Strange isn't it? The outer suburban are (RTC) has all the trouble and the inner, more urban area is mostly good old drunken fun.

If you're looking for a safer middle class, middle aged experience I suggest Tyson's or the Mosaic Center.

They are not even comparable. Claredon is mostly young 20's-early 30's, with money and lot of attractive girls..
Reston is full of arrogant divorced people, past their prime, but have more money than they know what to do with. Basically bored with their lives. Mix in a few young people looking to fight for no apparent reason except they're bored.

Reston? You have got to be kidding me. Besides little wanna be thugs acting tough. The older dudes are vanity car driving small penis wimps and the women are nasty with too much makeup or bad surgery with dusty cunts. Don't bother!

Being completely honest. Yes RTC does have quite a few bars in such a close area. You have maybe like 6-7 places to eat and/or drink your face off right there in a few block radius.

It is possible to meet many women and yes, it seems that the younger women are with dates and the single women do seem more or less to be divorcees and in their 40's, of course some are still atttractive and if they don't have serious hang ups or attitude issues, you might find some luck.

Arlington is def. more "fratty" with early 20's to mid 30's crowd. Many good looking girls but it seems to me they tend to be just as snarky and stuck up as their older spinster counter parts.

Yeah, that kind of sums it up.
I'll go to the RTC for some food and drink, then get the fuck out of the place.

Jackson's is the saddest bar I have ever seen at the RTC. go check it out for yourself, you tell me what's wrong with that scene.

Clarendon works great if you're 21 to 25 and a momma's boy who is just getting a new paying job and still living off the parents.

Everyone here thinks they have it all figured out. Translated, everyone's bashing the place that they don't fit into personally. Chances are, you're all fucking losers. Arlington or RTC, you're still the guy who goes out, looks around the bar expecting something to come to you then blames your surroundings for the fact that you can't effectively socialize.

You must hang out at Jackson's.

^^ exactly.

The "douchebags" and "people living off mom" are really just the ones you want to hate because they're having the fun you wish you could have. Stay home dickheads, you just crowd the bar.

I used to work in RTC. The only entertainment I got from Jackson's was watching the pathetic scene that would unfold every night on my way to the parking garage. Depressed, alcoholic smokers trying to impress equally unimpressive females in her 30s with the motorcycle or car they bought to get them through their mid-life crisis. I wouldn't be caught dead there if you can't put 2 and 2 together. Feel free to make another broad generalization, I'll drag that one through the mud too.

Not my scene either but I do lunch there occasionally and have heard that some fights break out after hours (which I think is hilarious). What I'm gathering is that you spend a lot of your free time in RTC making these observations while I'm only there when I'm making money. Go figure.

No question here. RTC is for people over 35 or under 18. Should raise a red flag when you're an adult going to the same place the local high schoolers do on the weekend. Drive into DC like a fucking adult. Pick 10 women from RTC and line them up against 10 in Arlington. If you're in your 20s and think RTC holds a candle to Arlington, I'd like to go back 10 years in life and hit you over the head with a pan.
