physical therapist recommendation in Ffx County

Can you recommend a good physical therapist in Fairfax County?

Shoulder issue. Have seen an orthopedist already. Thank you.

Virginia Therapy and Fitness Center in Reston

Stay away from Jackson's Clinic.

I would recommend the Jackson Clinic. My daughter had major surgery on her leg and they have done very well, she is really picky as she worked in the field for the past few years. Her surgeon is fantastic and they are what he uses for his VA patients.We have used a few different groups over the years and each therapist specializes in certain areas mostly so ask a lot of questions about their experience with your particular issue. That is the most important thing you can do! The only one I/we avoid is Commonwealth Ortho. But your orthopedist should have a stron recommendation for you.

Most clinics are the same... 90% of the therapists will do heat and e-stim, and not much else.

Let them know when you book the appointment that you want aggressive treatment, and you might get lucky enough to be stuck with the one that frightens most of the other patients. That's how things get done.

For the past 4 months, I've been receiving excellent care at the Fair Oaks office of Commonwealth Orthopedics for my severe frozen shoulder. Phillip was recommended as a PT who would be more aggressive with my treatment and I've made tremendous progress. Front desk personnel and PT assistants are also great.
