Speeding ticket at GMU

1st time offender, 15 over on my way out of campus (on a Friday after 2 stressful midterms) I heard some advice about being honest and accepting blame, has that ever worked? How will this affect my record and insurance? I'm 21.

Appreciate any advice.

Thanks

just pay the fine and move along. no big deal. no affect unless you rack-up a bunch more.

GMU just wants more money, consider it an Alumni pre-donation. That's how I considered the fines to all of the overly-aggressive parking tickets when I was there and I don't donate anything now. They've already got all the money they're ever getting out of me thanks to their parking-nazis when I was a student. I have sent copies of tickets back with Alumni donation solicitations. Tickets after 7:00 pm in 3/4 empty faculty lots? Threats to hold up my graduation unless they were paid? Bite me. Hope those fines were worth the lack of donations now that I am well into 6 figures.

Well the ticket money for moving violations do not go directly to GMU.....and if u accept the blame the judge will just find you guilty as is is required to at that point.....go fight the ticket it worth a chance the, RADAR certs might not be good or the officer could just be a moron
