I've been there several times and observed the same. Everyone is very nice, polite, and it's very clean. Fast service.

I think the staff at Chik-Fil-A in Chantilly is like this too. I was floored when an employee came over to my table and asked if I'd like a refill of my drink. She promptly refilled my cup and returned it to me.

I never see an overlfowing trash receptical or dirty table either.

I feel this way about the Gainesville Chick Fil-A. I live here, but stop there sometimes if I go to Charlottesville. They are ridiculously nice and quick with the service. There are good fast food places scattered here and there. The better service makes a huge difference.

True buts slowly being torn down and rebuilt. The land / area is too valuable for it to house the shitty strip malls and a garden center.

That Arbys is fairly nice, too bad they serve pepsi. Not sure why, they are partially owned by Wendys which has a coke contract.

"Old" Merrifield is GONE. It has been wiped out by the Mosaic and other improvements.

The shopping center with the Arbys and Hmart is still shitty, it has not been yuppified yet.

Has it been renovated recently? The last time I was in there was 2009, it was pretty dumpy, like something that hadn't been updated since the 80s.

They got rid of that run down looking auto shop next to the arbys, but that is it, the rest is still dated looking.

I used to go the one in Alexandria off Beaureagard Street years ago after a late night of drinking. I think they were open til 2am. Best late night munchies around. Also used to hit Dennys on Edsall Rd. That place never failed to have vomit on the bathroom sinks.

The Arbys in Merrifield is great and the original poster is correct. It is clean, the staff is friendly and efficient, and the food is decent. They also have coupons that they send in the mail (which I receive even though I dont live near there).

The H mart is horrible--used to be Han E Reuhm. It is filthy and crowded. It needs an upgrade.

There's an Arby's there? You can tell how long it's been since I've been there. I remember when it was a Roy Rogers, and I even worked there for a grand total of 3 days in 1987 before I decided I would rather be unemployed than work in fast food.

Yes, the Roy Rogers was converted years ago into an Arbys. The auto body shop with all of the cool and funky decorations is gone. The large Asian grocery store converted to an H mart but in name only--it needs to be renovated as it is a dump.

Amen to that! I miss that 24 hour Taco Bell so bad. The only other one near me is the Annandale Taco Bell/KFC and that place sucks. I haven't been in there in over a year, but the two times I went the staff was ignorant and the food sucked compared to the old Merrifield Taco Bell.

Also, went to the new Target in Merrifield the other day. Man that was weird, that whole area is so different now. It's like Oz or something. The best part of my Target visit, was the blonde gilf who rang me up. Gotta love that granny clevage.

I'd patronize them more if they had a drive-thru. I know the roast beef is not what it used to be and is heavily processed now, but some things are decent.

A few years ago I was in line to order, and some black guy started hitting on me for money. I was at the counter by then and said to the employee "Get this guy away from me!!" He yelled at the guy, and all was well.

I hate that parking lot, especially over by the stinky food market. That whole place will be history in the near future, I'm sure.
