that schools sucks. Dumbass Mr.Thomas looks like an APP and his still working there he sucks at teaching. got an D in that class, than my Spector this spanish teacher sucks she failed me and I hated it. she not even Spanish and can't even speak it right. Sports sucks we never won stats, and the students are 2 face

Not a sports powerhouse, but if you do well there you can still get college scholarships. Just dont expect and USCs or Alabamas to be calling

I go there currently the students are all white rich kids. Too many Asians. SPORTS SUCK and I had me Thomas too he always came To class high

FHS is acually a pretty good school..rich white girls that wear nice threads and good parties (kinda).....Pretty good sports in football back in the day 1990's???? Decent supply of weed, and not lots of the crappy low income crowd .2

Fairfax is a horrible school. I really can't stand it

All my kids graduated from FHS. They were able to be admitted to
the college of their choice and our realistic budget. If all you
care about is sports you're stupid anyway. The only gripe they had
was the lousy food in the cafeteria. The only gripe I had was the
idiocy of the helicopter parents who thought their kid(s) were better
than everybody and had a pathological obsession with arrogance.
(I didn't give damn where they lived or what kind of car they drove
but my kids are working real jobs now and not living/sponging off
their parents)

Interesting, so if you care about sports you are stupid. Yet your gripe was with the arrogant parents? You sound very arrogant yourself. Half of the kids at FHS participate in at least one sport. That is a very high percentage. It sounds like your kids just couldn't make any team, hence your arrogance.

Quite to the contrary. All my kids participated in sports programs but
I noticed quite a few parents who were obsessive. Notice I said,
"if ALL you care about is sports you're stupid anyway"? FHS also had
an overabundance of "helicopter parents". Then there were the band
parents. One in particular spent most of her time standing around
with a clipboard in her hand trying to look authoritative but didn't
hold any office other than "parent". One night some other parents and
I were unloading a truckload of instruments while she stood and
watched. I asked her if she could help carry some of the instruments
inside (it was raining) and she shot me a look that would kill and
ran back into the building. After that I called her the Clipboard
Commando and she never looked me in the eye again. Fine with me.

The Principal, Cyrus Doub is pretty conservative but fair. The Spanish Teacher, Senora Knox is pretty shifty (sits in the back of the classroom while students file in hoping to catch them say something nasty about her), the French Teacher, Monsieur Davidson has wild eyebrows and gets in your face if you don't repeat the French vowel-sound correctly. The Senior Court is a bummer because they still don't let you smoke but you can still take the secret door to the basement to smoke and elude the Hall Monitors. The band instrument storage room is the best place to make out and the cafeteria food is half wallpaper paste. You WILL slip and fall on the worn-out stone steps and if you get lost in the Shop wing DO expect to get hassled by the Greasers. Don't EVEN try to sneak over to McDonalds because the Assistant Principal WILL catch you and you'll be in detention for a week!
All in all, wasn't a horrible High School in 1968. I lived.

I did notice that you said "if ALL you care about is sports you're stupid anyway." I left out the "all" because your assumption is based in stupidity. No one cares only about sports.

But now you turn your arrogance to what you call "helicopter parents" and one band parent. You sound like a whining parent who no one would pay attention to so you call them arrogant. Still a loser.

There were many helicopter parents. I only mentioned one. Fuck off loser.
My kids are college grads and employed. Yours are like Al Bundy and can't
talk about anything but making four touchdowns in a single game in high school. Too bad their lives ended there.

You can't make a point either. All you know how to do is complain and attack. Attacking other people's kids is pretty low rent. Glad your kids are graduates and employed. Hopefully they will learn the social skills that you are lacking.

I graduated from FHS in 2009 and I absolutely loved it. Yes, most of the sports teams sucked and the cafeteria food was never good. I applied to only one school and got in no problem and I think being involved at FHS helped a lot.

I graduated from Fairfax 7 years ago! Time flies that school was fun, Some of the teachers my teacher was a *****! but I PASSED her sol and I passed all the other sol.
