Fire at Burke Bowl America?

The one off of Guinea Road in Burke--yesterday around 1:30 pm there was tons of smoke and the place had been evacuated. Everyone was standing outside in the parking lot. There seemed to only be one ambulance there though. Has anyone heard anything?

My son and I were there. It was a dumpster behind the bowl america (a storage place) that was on fire. The wind blew the fire into some dry brush and leaves. Lot's of smoke, very little damage and no injuries that I am aware of. Maybe some headaches due to the smoke.

Burke Firemen were on it and very quickly put out the fire. Bowl America did a good job of evacuating the building.

Great great, no one was injured, that's all fine and dandy.... but now on to the important questions... Is Bowl America okay? And is it open today?

BVFD...the same Burke Fire Department whose own firehouse burned down. They couldn't put a fire out on a birthday cake. You get what you pay for. Volunteers equal cowgirl amateurs.
