LEAVING Virginia
Posted by: Al Moniz ()
Date: November 07, 2012 07:41PM

I will be moving on January 1, 2013.

I've come to the bitter conclusion this morning that hard work, activism and keyboard political pundits will never save America - the only thing that will save it is 20 years worth of parents teaching their children that freedom is more valuable than government freebies.

I have to ask, if God is in control...what's he up to?
I do not believe diverting your attention away from the disaster that today brings is the right path. You SHOULD be angry and upset, America. Whether you are or not depends on what kind of person you are.

My country is in distress. If you're a liberal taker, yours is not. We are divided and this flag will stay upside down until we right our Country. Teach your children well....indeed. . .
I HATE AMERICA TODAY!!!! I HATE What we became. It was much better back in the 1960s. WAKE UP AMERICA WE ARE ALL GOING TO HELL!!!!
My son is still unemployed and might need to shut down my business if Obama raise our taxes!

The 1960's in Virginia? The good old days right? Back when we had segregation and most people died before they hit 70?

If you did such an awesome job raising your son why is he unemployed in a state with 5.5% unemployment and a county with 4.4% unemployment??? My guess is that you are your son's welfare state, you raised your precious little boy like he was a princess and he probably learned all about whining from you.

If taxes are affecting your business then so much that a 5% increased tax on your profits makes you shut down, you were probably going to shut down anyway.

So you're leaving Virginia? Good riddance, go to Maryland and live with all the other whiners. Otherwise SUCK IT UP and be an American instead of a partisan.

Awwwww, what's wrong...you mad, bro? Did someone lose an election last night? Oh noes! What the fuck WILL you do? Christ, I bet you didn't even make it to work today! How can you possibly handle 4 more years with that niggah in the White House? Well, we had 8 years of George Bush, right? This won't be that bad. You've been through George Bush...you can handle a nigger improving your country.

Tell you what...go down to your room....errrr, your parents basement. Mom will be down soon to slather your nasty, little genitals with marshmallow fluff and then Daddy will play hide the nine-iron in your ass and watch you lick your shit off the end of it. Then, you can all watch "Star Trek" together...

The "tax" raise that you speak of would only affect you if you are making a SIGNIFICANT profit as a business, aka you are full of shit because shutting down a business that is making significant profit would be stupid.

Based on the fact that you dont understand that, I assume your business was doomed anyways.

Please, leave VA as quickly as you can. This idea that only the left comprises the infamous "47 percent group" is laughable. Take a look at the states with the highest percentage of folks who owe zero federal income tax and states like Arkansas, Louisiana, and Alabama top the list.

Yes, the fallacy that people somehow decide they don't want to make money anymore due to taxes is apparently deeply ingrained in the GOP psyche.

In fact, the CRS report on the effect of top tier and capital gains tax rates supports the idea that tax rates do nothing to slow down or stop high earners.

A pissed off Republican probably shouldn't waste his time in Canada. Socialized health care isn't for him right? I'm think Mexico is more his speed. The free market is unchained down there! Government stays out of the way.

I am fairly certain these are just spoof postings by people trying to caricature the right wing, but part of me is really afraid that there are people who really do think this way.

I think it is sad, if this is a serious post, that people have actually mindlessly, thoughtlessly absorbed all the campaign rhetoric and hyperbole over the last 2 years, and internalized all of these presumed injustices and threats to their well being.

That being said, buddy, you will fit right in if you move to West Virginia or Kentucky, or Alabama or Arkansas. The only problem with that is there really aren't any jobs in those places, at least not any that pay over $70,000 a year. So you face a dilemma, either stick with all of us lazy non-working liberals who have jobs, houses, mortgages, shiny cars, extra money to go out to restaurants 3 or 4 nights a week, and tolerate people of other cultures, or go be with your own kind who are struggling just to keep a roof over their heads and find work, but who keep to their own kind and do not tolerate differing viewpoints.

I say get the fuck out of here. Our economy is booming, and if your business is failing, then we don't need you here fucking up the numbers.

I like how the guy is looking back to the good old 60's. Any idea what the tax rates were in the 60's? We better jack them up.

Of course a consequence of those tax rates was that we could launch domestic programs and fight a war in southeast Asia without racking up a ton of debt. Now we can't even expand a highway.

TeaBag () "Seems we also have lazy white people who feel entitled to a high maintenance middle class or privileged lifestyle." ??????

Entitlements in our middle class world means JOBS. We were rasied to want to work. We want to PAY for our privileges with our own money. We don't want OBama phones. We want to buy our iPhones.

You economic newbies have been fed a line of propaganda at your public schools.

You were taught the world was created by unfamomable coincidences triggered by a huge explosion from an unknown origin. See, this way you've got no foundation of whats right and whats wrong. This way, the gov can continue to define whats right and wrong for you. No need for you to think, HALO4 is out! Keep drinking the kool-aid blogger boys.

But if you want to get a little enlightenment, take a look at Greece....take a look at how our markets did yesterday...take a look at what Iran said about the election....take a look around.

This isn't high school anymore. The most popular guy was not the best choice for the job. Mr Cool ain't got the skills to lead us anywhere but socialism.

My guess is you lost focus 1/2 way throught this. Another little lesson they've tought you. If its too much, just move on to something else that pleases you.

Any idea as to where you're going? Whatever you do, don't go to:

1) Canada. Socialized medicine, too much government regulation of the economy, very multicultural cities and officially bilingual, small military, dangerously progressive ideas, stricter gun control, people can marry chairs. From a Canadian perspective the Prime Minister is an evangelical conservative from a oil-rich western province. From an American perspective he's a screaming Liberal.

2) Australia. Socialized medicine, too much government regulation of the economy, very multicultural cities, small military, dangerously progressive ideas, really strict gun controls, people don't bother to get married. From the Aussie perspective the Prime Minister is a popular hard working woman who is an Atheist and lives with a man outside of wedlock. From an American perspective she's a godless communist.

3) New Zealand. Socialized medicine, too muchy government regulation of the economy, large "indigious" population and officially bilingual, dangerously progressive ideas, virtually nonexistent military, really strict gun controls, people think marriage is just a suggestion. From the Kiwi perspective the Prime Minister is a slightly boring accountant with a quaintly traditional marriage. From an American perspective he's a pinko who presides over a country that bans U.S. warships carrying nuclear weapons from it's ports.

So I'd say your best bet is...

Somalia. Weak central government, unregulated medicine, no governmental interference in the economy (or anything else), strong tradition of gun ownership with no pesky government restrictions, everyone free to start his own military, socially "severely conservative". Good luck finding any head of government.

Yes, a paradise to your average freedom defending, liberty loving Bagger.

Yes, Somalia is perfect for the disaffected Republican. The free market is allowed to go completely unchecked! No government to interfere! Oppressed women who may be subject to mutilation because a man decided to do so!

Of course judging by the GOP's rhetoric, I am confused as to why Somalia is not the strongest economy in the world with the highest standard of living for its people. Seems like a GOP paradise.

You do understand this is just Rush Limbaugh riffing about all the things that piss him off, don't you? You're just repeating one of his diatribes. Maybe not word for word, but it sure as hell stinks of his hatred and anger.

But thanks for explaining to us why the youth of today have it all backwards, you see, because the schools are teaching them all this non-religion stuff and they have no foundation about what's right and what's wrong, they play their xboxes and their me-tubes and faceplaces and don't care about what made this country strong ..... ahhh, jeez, you've been listening to a windbag for far too long.

But don't tell ME (or anyone on this forum) how I (or WE) think, how we were taught, why we don't know right or wrong. You are arrogant and fucking condescending. And you're fucking wrong. See, I do know the difference between right and wrong. I know that you are wrong when you make blanket statements about people you don't even know. I'm probably a few years older than you, BTW.

I don't give a flying fuck what Iran has to say about our election. In fact, to even bring that up just means you are parroting Rush again.

As far as Greece goes, that is a wholly and certifiably corrupt country. Its government all the way down to the dog catcher, its people, its institutions, everything about that country is corrupt and has been broken since Papandreou took over and Greece became a constitutional republic in 1974. The current crisis was aided and abetted by JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs, but the borrowing is more of a symptom of bigger problems. There is no correlation to the current US economic situation. Greece has an all-inclusive buffet of social-welfare programs, including universal assistance to any household with children, rent equalization, and so forth, things we do not have in this country. They also took advantage of the borrowing spree spurred on by GS and JPM to build extravagant and unnecessary public projects like museums, state houses, concert halls and stadiums. Again, no equivalent here. The last big expensive public boondoggle was the Denver Airport -- when was that??

What the markets did yesterday was decline less than 3%. 2.63% to be exact. And it declined another 0.94% today. So am I supposed to be frightened? Does this prove that Obama is bad for the financial system? Because I'm sorry but I am a bit more versed in the financial markets than the average Rush Limbaugh listener.

When I take a look around, I see affluence and prosperity. When I visit the midwest, I do see a little more economic stress than usual, but if you only now have become concerned about the plight of the lower middle class who have always struggled to stay afloat and keep their heads above water, then you're late to the game. The only difference is that twice as many people are out of work. Let me repeat -- TWICE AS MANY. So you either never gave a shit about the first half, or you only respond to a large enough number. Which is it? Because the first 5% who were out of work did not cause a stir, but those other 4.9% that came along later sure seems to create a commotion. Besides, I have to question your sincerity, what with all your rancor about the leeches and welfare takers.

Bread and Circuses. Yes, neato. You keep putting that in your comments as if it is supposed to signify our distraction and your inside knowledge of the games the empire is playing to keep us busy. Don't you know that Rush and Fox News is part of that circus? You aren't privy to special knowledge that the rest of us aren't, you are just playing the circus game right along with them.

Virgins has turned into a facist state. Profuse taxation at every turn, with the money being funneled to the Rich. Classic British Royal structure to keep them rich and the 'Commonwealth' overall poor. The elite, small percentage of the population living lavishly while the roll in splender at the overalls demise.

We are all fools being puppeted by the Rich. Keeping us all divided thru race, creed, color and religion. They promote, however delicately and secretly, the classic divide and conquer tactic in the economy. And oh how we all fall into its design. All the ugly the Rich promotes, keeping us squabbling and fighting over the scraps they throw us like a pack of wild dogs. Laughing behind the closed doors, content with their greedy ways.

Hope they all rot in HELL upon their deaths. They are truly ugly. Thru and thru. And it IS against all the teachings of all the top religions of this world. They know it, yet persist against it. Making evil excuses after evil excuses in their greedy- selfish based minds. Brainwashing eachother with it as well.

I have faith they will be, and probably already are, being punished in this life and thereafter. Being remembered for being exactly what they are. Greedy, selfish, HOGS.

WHO IN THE UNIVERSE THINKS IT IS OK TO BE HOARDING BILLIONS AND TRILLIONS IN WEALTH WITH ALL THIS ECONOMIC SUFFERING GOING ON OUT HERE?

SOME SUPER ARROGANT PIECE OF SHIT, THAT IS WHO!
