Teen girl grabbed and fondled in Springfield, attack may be linked to others
Wednesday - 10/3/2012, 10:02am ET

WASHINGTON - Police say a 15-year-old girl was grabbed and fondled on Tuesday in Springfield and are investigating whether the incident is related to other fondling cases in the area.

The teenager was walking on Hibbling Road near Exmore Street when she was grabbed around 7:15 p.m. on Oct. 2. She pulled away from the suspect, who ran away

Three similar events occurred in Springfield in September. A 17-year-old girl was grabbed from behind and fondled on Sept. 27.

On Sept. 18, a 16-year-old girl was grabbed and fondled while walking on the path along Metropolitan Center Drive.

And on Sept. 7, a 26-year-old woman was grabbed and fondled after hearing a man whistle at her while she was walking in the area of Old Keene Mill Road.

In each September incident, the suspect was described as a possibly hispanic male who wore a red baseball cap.

I know right? Obviously "possibly" was the wrong word to use. It was certainly a Hispanic.

If we had nooses hanging from the trees and cross burnings in our town squares guys like this might think twice.

Of course if we catch him, I'd put him on a chain gang.

If he has good behavior they can put him to work in the prison sheet factory.

Well, we know he listens to the news, because it sounds like he ditched the red baseball cap in the last incident.

This guy must be on a bike--since he hits these different neighborhoods.

Why weren't these incidents disclosed by the popo in their weekly summaries of crimes?

Looks like the community may have to solve this one-given the incompetence displayed by FCPD lately....

Let's see...dates of assaults are:

Friday, Sept 7th
Sunday, Sept 9th
Tuesday, Sept 18th
Thursday, Sept 27th
Tuesday, Oct 2nd

time of day info would be helpful...
