Annandale has had a large Asian population for as long as I can remember. That's why it's called Asiandale. Hell, even one of the crime TV shows (like CSI, Criminal Minds, or something like that) referred to it as Korea town. It's not a bad thing, it's more just like, "no duh".

As i was going through this website i noticed a forum for annandale and decided i would jump in. So here i go:
Ive lived in annandale for many years graduated, played , coached ( Soccer ) and helped with the community and the thing i noticed the most about our community is after the 90's ( which was a thriving time for annandale) all of the koreans ( and other asian ethnicities) moved to annandale. Now you ask the question why? and that is because their mentality is that they want to live were we do and currently today in 2011 the new hotspot is the centreville/chantilly area. No offense but when it comes to real estate there like a bunch of lockus in the sense that they want to be in the best area for life, family , business , and education. And their are so many businesses owned by koreans ( and other ethnicities) in annandale because their process works a little like this. They get into a group of buddies and maybe 3 or 4 in one group. And they will work and work and work. And they will dispurse the money to each so they have enough to live and the rest is saved until person#1 can buy a business then they use that business and do the same thing financially until person#2 can get one and so on and so on.
And by the way just for credability reasons i graduated from GMU and FU with a degree in economics, government , and world affairs.

These Koreans don't seem to get how they stick out in Annandale like a sore thumb.
Their mass numbers does not make them any less awkward as they attempt to acclimate to the American scene.
They run around like there enough Koreans now in Annandale that they think they will instantly fit in, and have just basically arrived here so screw everyone else before them.

I swear every time I'm at John Marr and 236 some DWA dumbshit will wait until the light turns green to try to go across all lanes from the service road by Popeyes. Then to make it worse they get half way across and see traffic coming at them and stop blocking the whole damn intersection. Drives me nuts! Last time it happened and I was front row I pulled my truck up to about an inch from the driver's side window and just laid on the horn. I for one welcome any and all asians to our area. They have incredible work ethic, their children are disciplined and grow to learn great talents, often graduating with honors and earning scholarships. They take immaculate care of their properties, and are very kind & generous neighbors.
