Is it just me, or does anyone else living in Annandale wonder why the higher their Property Taxes rise, the more run down and blighted Downtown Annandale seems to become. The illeagal immigrants hanging out ( loitering ) around the Safeway parking lot makes Annandale seem more like PG County or NE D.C. Annandale used to be a nice place to live, but now looks like a 3rd world country,and Fairfax County seems to do nothing but raise taxes.

in the 1980's a whole lot of smug white devils felt comfortable in Annandale using the "N word" around black folks...just using this as an example to illustrate that despite the problems of having certain folks move into Annandale there has also been much positive change as a result of the Spanish speaking and Korean folks making this good town their home! when every tree in annandale is cut down so 1st world people can have a place to live they will be at home cuddling with their dog

I think that when they demolish all of the section 8 low rent apartments that Annandale will thrive again. The property in and around Annandale is becoming way to expensive to house all of the migrants who are mostly renters. Eventually they will all have to leave and will probably go to Woodbridge or Manassas. It's just economics.

You may need to learn how to read and write first or the only thing you could take over is another street corner to keep loitering.

Agree, and that time can't come soon enough. However, keet into account that both Asians and Hispanics often live in large groups in small housing and that is how they can afford it. Actually, Asians run their business out of their home and evade taxes and disregard local laws and regulations and that is how they can afford it

People need to speak up and have local Authorities listen. We all see what is happening, but really do nothing much about it.
