now i don't expect slendermans, bigfoot, or hookers out there but what do you need to expect at night like mouse, or owls or other animals. i have to go back to the white washed side of american after nova classes which ends around 8-9pm

you're only gonna see small criters and dear. just get a flashlight to let them know and remember the houses are pretty close to the trail.

ps watchout for the dominion fences.

Foxes, raccoons, feral dogs and cats all of which could be rabid. There are also reported sightings of coyotes. While you do get the occasional bear in Fairfax, it is unlikely they would get to Wakefield.

The more likely threat is going to be tripping over something from the poor lighting coupled with poor trail/path surfaces. You can also have broken glass from some kids parties. Using a flashlight is therefore a good idea...or you could spring for that NoVa parking pass.
