I liked that place, for as disorganized and somewhat "backwards" method they had, it was a nice local old school hardware store. Only complaint I guess I could have was their seemingly overt refusal to supply a bag on multiple item purchases. I recall several times where that exact situation took place. I would have 5 or 6 things run up, cash out, then I get the receipt and nothing else. I'm thinking, I'm not an octopus, can I have a bag please?

I hope they find another place here in town to re-open, the Vienna Halloween parade wouldn't be the same without the dualing Stalcup tractors!

My 3 Y.O. daughter loved her Sunday visits with Foxy as well. Daddy, can we go see the piggy at the hardware store?? was a familiar Sunday morning refrain.

I'm glad they failed. They had high prices and horrible customer service. My 2 yr old son always liked to carry scraps of rusted metal and paper with him,that he would find on the ground. We were at the cash register and they demanded that he empty his pockets. Of course he started crying when they yelled at him and took away all his "treasures". I didn't see anything in his pocket that looked new (and even if he had, two is way too young to understand -- no need to yell or do anything rough). Bunch of assholes. We never went back.
