Kid on pocket rocket

Anyone know what's up with the kid that's been riding around on a pocket rocket these past several days. It seems like he's on that thing all day, I've seen and heard him going down the street like thirty times today alone. Is that thing even street legal?

Too funny...a fiend of mine saw him last night on Courthouse Road...the bike had lame-ass lights, and it could hardly be seen..

If only we had 40 or so policemen in Vienna who could track this scofflaw down...

Mopeds and scooters are street legal. There's probably a definition around the legal site that defines what's a moped, etc - probably having to do with displacement, horse power, and amount of fuel - I'm too lazy this morningnto look it up, though - but probably easy to find via Google (that has the blacked out logo today)

Sounds like this is a pit bike...if they're 50cc or under, they're probably legal, but the one my buddy saw obviously didn't have legal lights...what the heck...I couldn't care as long as the little shit doesn't end up underneath my F-150..

Saw and heard him today a gazillion times, what has me wondering the most is why the heck he rides the thing around small town streets all day, it can't be fun... that tiny thing must be very uncomfortable. it's not quite as small as this, i would say it's no more than twice the size of this one... it's between 50 and 100cc

regardless, the thing looks absurd, but whatever, lol

Not street legal. Has nothing to do with the engine displacement - what it comes down to is the lack of proper lights and signals at regulation height.

Oh, don't worry..the kid is most likely going to kill himself on that thing soon.

Under 50cc doesn't require registration or tags, but must have lights, etc...

Kid's most likely Tal Reznikov, he's been expelled from Kilmer then again from Marshall. He goes to Madison now.

Has anybody seen the color of the bike? I think i would know who it is...

And for everyones info, you can ride these on the street as long as it has proper lights and signals. The engine of the bike he is riding is a 110cc, that is considered a moped which you can ride on the street without a license as long as you are over 16.

Actually, that is incorrect. Anything over 50cc is legally required to be registered and licensed, as is the operator (meaning a MOTORCYLCE license).

However, considering that 110cc is still really tiny, and that cops have better things to do than measure the engine of every moped they see, the chances of you getting caught are slim to none, unless you're seen going much faster than a 50cc engine should allow.

Has anyone given him a biker wave? haha Does he wave back? Hopefully I'll happen to be there when he's at a stop light and a full size bike pulls up in the lane next to him. That'll be good for a laugh...
